1. Invalidation via Astronomical Time Expirations

وَطُلُوعُ الشَّمْسِ فِي الْفَجْرِ، وَزَوَالُهَا فِي الْعِيدَيْنِ، وَدُخُولُ وَقْتِ الْعَصْرِ فِي الْجُمُعَةِ • Fajr Prayer and Sunrise: If any part of the sun rises above the horizon while performing the Fajr prayer, the prayer is immediately invalidated. • Eid Prayer and Zenith (Zawal): If the sun passes its zenith (Zawal) while performing the Eid prayer, the prayer is invalidated because the valid time window for Eid has expired. • Friday Prayer (Jumu'ah) and Asr Entrance: If the valid time window of Asr enters while Jumu'ah is being performed, the Jumu'ah prayer is invalidated (as its time has expired). • These rulings establish the juristic principle that the the source enumerates particular Fajr, Eid, and Jumuah cases rather than a universal expiry rule.

2. State-Breaks & Purification Expirations

وَتَمَامُ مُدَّةِ مَاسِحِ الْخُفِّ... وَإِصَابَةُ الْمَاءِ أَكْثَرَ إِحْدَى الْقَدَمَيْنِ، وَسُقُوطُ الْجَبِيرَةِ عَنْ بَرْءٍ • Leather Socks Wiping Expiration: If the valid duration of wiping over leather socks (Khuffayn) expires (24 hours for residents, 72 hours for travelers) during prayer, the prayer is invalidated. • Acquiring Water (for Tayammum user): If a worshipper praying with dry ablution (Tayammum) acquires or gains the ability to use water during the prayer, the prayer is immediately invalidated. • Water Entering the Sock: If water reaches the majority of one of the feet inside the leather sock, the wipe is nullified, and the prayer is broken. • Splint/Bandage Falling Off: If a splint or bandage (Jabirah) falls off the body during the prayer due to the complete healing of the wound beneath it, the wipe is nullified, and the prayer is invalidated.

3. Involuntary State-Breaks & Linger Limits

وَمَكْثُهُ قَدْرَ أَدَاءِ رُكْنٍ بَعْدَ إِدْرَاكِ الْحَدَثِ مُسْتَيْقِظًا، وَمُجَاوَرَتُهُ مَاءً قَرِيبًا غَيْرَ مُتَوَضِّئٍ • Involuntary State-Break (Hadath al-Sabiq): If a worshipper's ablution is broken involuntarily during prayer, they are permitted to go perform Wudu and complete their prayer from where they left off, provided they do not violate the following boundaries:. • Linger Limit: Remaining stationary while awake after realizing the state-break occurred, for a duration equivalent to performing one pillar (Rukn) of prayer, invalidates the prayer. • Passing Water Without Wudu: If the worshipper, on their way to make Wudu, passes by a source of water without performing Wudu there, their prayer is immediately invalidated. • Recitation During Transit: Reciting any portion of the Quran while going to or returning from performing Wudu invalidates the prayer.

4. Final Sitting Anomalies & Intentional Breaks

وَحَدَثُهُ الْعَمْدُ بَعْدَ الْجُلُوسِ الْأَخِيرِ... وَالتَّكْبِيرُ بِنِيَّةِ الِانْتِقَالِ لِصَلَاةٍ أُخْرَى • Intentional Break After Final Sitting: If the worshipper, after sitting in the final sitting (al-Qa'dah al-Akhirah) for the mandatory duration of Tashahhud, intentionally breaks their Wudu (Hadath al-Amd) before verbally uttering the Salaam: ◦ The Correct Opinion: Since the absolute obligation of the final sitting was completed, the prayer is ruled legally valid (though they are sinful for omitting the necessary verbal Salaam). • Takbir for Another Prayer: If a worshipper utters the Takbir with the intention of transitioning to another prayer while in the middle of a prayer, the current prayer is immediately broken. • Elongating the Takbir (Madd): Elongating the Hamzah in "Allahu" (e.g., reciting Āllahu, which turns it into a question "Is Allah...?") invalidates the prayer.
