1. Prayer Inside and on the Ka'bah Roof

صَحَّ فَرْضٌ وَنَفْلٌ فِيهَا وَعَلَى ظَهْرِهَا • Fundamental Validity: Performing both obligatory (Fard) and voluntary (Nafal) prayers inside the Holy Ka'bah is fully valid and legally correct. • Prayer on the Ka'bah Roof: Performing prayer on top of the Ka'bah roof is valid, but classified as legally disliked (Makruh Tanzihan) due to the lack of proper respect and honor shown to the structure. • Worshippers are highly cautioned to avoid using the roof of the Ka'bah as a place of prayer.

2. Directional Alignment Inside the Ka'bah

وَمَنْ جَعَلَ ظَهْرَهُ إِلَى غَيْرِ وَجْهِ إِمَامِهِ فِيهَا صَحَّ، وَإِنْ جَعَلَ ظَهْرَهُ إِلَى وَجْهِ إِمَامِهِ لَا يَصِحُّ • Directional Freedom: Since every wall of the Ka'bah serves as the Qiblah, a worshipper praying inside is free to face any wall or closed door of the structure. • Congregational Alignment: If a congregation is established inside and worshippers form a circle facing different walls: ◦ Valid Scenario: If the follower's back is not turned toward the Imam's face (e.g., they are facing different walls), the follower's prayer is valid. ◦ Invalid Scenario: If the follower turns their back directly toward the Imam's face (meaning the Imam is positioned behind the follower), the follower's prayer is rendered invalid.

3. Followers Standing Closer to Walls

وَصَحَّ الْإِقْتِدَاءُ خَارِجَهَا بِإِمَامٍ فِيهَا وَالْبَابُ مَفْتُوحٌ • Following from Outside: If the Imam is positioned inside the Ka'bah and the door is open, followers standing outside are permitted to validly follow the Imam. • Circular Rows Outside: When rows are formed in a circle around the outside of the Ka'bah: ◦ A follower is permitted to stand physically closer to a wall of the Ka'bah than the Imam, provided they are not standing directly in front of the Imam's specific row. ◦ Exceeding the Imam's position within one's own specific segment of the circle invalidates the follower's prayer.
