Why is human skin prohibited from being tanned and utilized?

Purification of Hides (الدباغة) & Special Substances (Musk, Civet)

• Because human skin is inherently impure like pig hide.
• Out of respect and honor (karāmah) for human dignity.
• Only if the human died a non-Muslim.
• Because it does not absorb tanning agents.
