تُحْفَةُ الْمُؤْمِنِ الْمَوْتُ (البيهقي) Translation: Death is a gift for the believer. كُلُّ كَلَامِ ابْنِ آدَمَ عَلَيْهِ لَا لَهُ، إِلَّا أَمْرٌ بِمَعْرُوفٍ، أَوْ نَهْيٌ عَنْ مُنْكَرٍ، أَوْ ذِكْرُ اللَّهِ (الترمذي) Translation: Every word a person speaks counts against him rather than for him, except commanding what is right, forbidding what is wrong, or remembering Allah. مَثَلُ الَّذِي يَذْكُرُ رَبَّهُ وَالَّذِي لَا يَذْكُرُ، مَثَلُ الْحَيِّ وَالْمَيِّتِ (البخاري ومسلم) Translation: The one who remembers his Lord and the one who does not are like the living and the dead. Key words Arabic word English meaning مَثَل an example, a comparison الْحَيّ the living الْمَيِّت the dead Simple explanation - Remembrance gives life to the heart: The heart of a person who remembers Allah is alive, while the heart of a heedless person is dead.

مَثَلُ الْعِلْمِ لَا يُنْتَفَعُ بِهِ كَمَثَلِ كَنْزٍ لَا يُنْفَقُ مِنْهُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ (أحمد ودارمي) Translation: Knowledge that is not used is like a treasure from which nothing is spent in the path of Allah. Key words Arabic word English meaning يُنْتَفَعُ بِهِ benefit is taken from it كَنْز a treasure Simple explanation - Knowledge without action: Just as a hidden treasure benefits no one, knowledge that is neither practiced nor shared with others is wasted.

أَفْضَلُ الذِّكْرِ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، وَأَفْضَلُ الدُّعَاءِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ (الترمذي) Translation: The best remembrance is 'There is no deity except Allah,' and the best supplication is 'All praise is for Allah.'

أَوَّلُ مَنْ يُدْعَى إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ الَّذِينَ يَحْمَدُونَ اللَّهَ فِي السَّرَّاءِ وَالضَّرَّاءِ (البيهقي) Translation: The first people called to Paradise on the Day of Judgment will be those who praise Allah in ease and hardship. Key words Arabic word English meaning السَّرَّاء ease, happy circumstances الضَّرَّاء hardship, distress and difficulty Simple explanation - People who remain grateful: Those who say 'All praise is for Allah' and remain patient even during hardship will be among the first entitled to enter Paradise.
