Lesson

1. سُورَةُ العاديات

The surah uses the image of charging horses to warn that people can become ungrateful and deeply attached to wealth. It is a Makki surah with 11 ayahs. بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

2. وَٱلْعَـٰدِيَـٰتِ ضَبْحًا ﴿١﴾

By the racers, panting,

3. فَٱلْمُورِيَـٰتِ قَدْحًا ﴿٢﴾

And the producers of sparks [when] striking

4. فَٱلْمُغِيرَٰتِ صُبْحًا ﴿٣﴾

And the chargers at dawn,

5. فَأَثَرْنَ بِهِۦ نَقْعًا ﴿٤﴾

Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust,

6. فَوَسَطْنَ بِهِۦ جَمْعًا ﴿٥﴾

Arriving thereby in the center 1 collectively,
