Lesson

1. سُورَةُ المطففين

The surah warns against cheating in measure and contrasts the records of wrongdoers and the righteous. It is a Makki surah with 36 ayahs. بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

2. وَيْلٌ لِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَ ﴿١﴾

Woe to those who give less [than due],

3. ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ٱكْتَالُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُونَ ﴿٢﴾

Who, when they take a measure from people, take in full.

4. وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمْ أَو وَّزَنُوهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ ﴿٣﴾

But if they give by measure or by weight to them, they cause loss.

5. أَلَا يَظُنُّ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ أَنَّهُم مَّبْعُوثُونَ ﴿٤﴾

Do they not think that they will be resurrected

6. لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ ﴿٥﴾
