1. Surah Ad-Duhaa — Part 2

Continue the word-by-word study of Surah Ad-Duhaa with ayahs 6–11.

2. أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًا فَـَٔاوَىٰ ﴿٦﴾

Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge?

3. وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلًّا فَهَدَىٰ ﴿٧﴾

And He found you lost and guided [you],

4. وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلًا فَأَغْنَىٰ ﴿٨﴾

And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient.

5. فَأَمَّا ٱلْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ ﴿٩﴾

So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him].

6. وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ ﴿١٠﴾

And as for the petitioner, 1 do not repel [him].

7. وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ ﴿١١﴾

But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it].
