1. Fa'ala Verbs - Part 2

What will you learn? ● Complete the remaining 15 فَعَلَ past/present pairs in this group. ● Read each pair with accurate tashkeel and meaning. ● Sort the present forms by يَفْعَلُ، يَفْعِلُ، يَفْعُلُ. ● Apply selected verbs in short sentences and distinguish close meanings.

2. Keep Learning Past and Present Together

All 15 past verbs here are on فَعَلَ, but their present forms do not share one middle vowel. ● ذَهَبَ—يَذْهَبُ uses fatḥah. ● رَجَعَ—يَرْجِعُ uses kasrah. ● بَلَغَ—يَبْلُغُ uses ḍammah. The past weight alone does not tell you the exact present partner. Learn the complete pair with its meaning.

3. Read, Notice, Use

For each pair: 1. Read the past form and its meaning. 2. Read the exact present partner. 3. Notice the middle vowel of the present. 4. Use the verb in a short sentence. Example: نَجَحَ—يَنْجَحُ means succeeding, and the present is on يَفْعَلُ.

12. A Beginner's Mastery Check

For each of the 15 pairs, check whether you can: 1. Read both forms accurately. 2. State the everyday meaning. 3. Identify the present middle vowel. 4. Distinguish it from a close or opposite meaning. 5. Use selected verbs in a short sentence. If a present form is uncertain, return to the whole pair instead of guessing.
